The title and other script on the front are in a fancy cursive type font giving it a more upscale feel. Browns, yellows, and oranges are often used as the text color.

This article is more of northern magazine and includes articles mostly on Brooke and stream fishing for trout. They do have a saltwater addition also which includes different fish and different techniques.

What types of advertisements are included?
Advertisements for different types of fishing tackle especially fly fishing tackle are included.

The pictures on the cover can range from A person fishing to the person holding the fish after they had caught it.

White and Yellow color text are the most common with this particular magazine. Titles of inside articles often being yellow and bold.

This magazine includes articles on fishing tips along with stories of their fishing adventures.

What advertisements are included?
The most common advertisements are for a particular brand of boat. But ads for fishing products are also included.

Many of the pictures included are close ups of the fishing being caught, or a long shot of the individual fishing on a boat. The cover is almost always of a particular fish species in a close up.

Adds relating to Hunting and fishing are included in the Articles. Deals on any equipment needed during those two activities.

A common theme that appears in the magazine is the way they use pictures as a eye catching feature. In multiple instances they use a full sized picture on the whole page and over lap text or a whole article over the picture. They also use pictures with captions.

Every issue includes a bright yellow font in a script format. The article names are usually in a black and white font with the article titles in bold.

The articles included are mostly tips and accounts of fishing trips. They also include reviews on certain boats the they drive and test fishing performance during a trip and how functional it is.

What types of ads are included?
Many of the ads are for boat or truck brands, but fishing tackle ads are also included.

What type of photos are included on the cover?
The photos on the covers are always a different species of fish that the main article is talking about. The articles include pictures of relevant fish to the specific article.

Project selection- My Decision

3. My decision

My decision for the project is a magazine. Overall this is the best choice for me and I believe that it gives me the Best opportunity for a high grade. I posses very good computer editing techniques and I know how articles and pictures should be formatted. We will be creating a fishing magazine. Our magazine will be considered an Outdoors and Adventure magazine. My group consists of Tucker, Sofia, and Axa. Me and Tucker are the most knowledgeable about the topic so we will most likely be writing most of the articles. Sofia and Axa will be in charge of the layout and the cosmetics of the page. But I will also use some of my editing skills also and help out with the design of our magazine.

Is The Film Project a good choice for me?

2. Is the film project a good choice for me?

I do not think the film project would be a good fit for me for various reasons. The first one is that I would not be able to add much value towards the project. I don't enjoy acting or being on camera at all, so that's one minus. I also do not enjoy writing scripts and developing a story plot. I lack in having creative mind when it comes to a situation like this. One skill I could add to a project like this is my editing skills on videos. Editing would be one small part of a project where I wouldn't add much more value. A magazine would be a better option for me considering I can add value in multiple aspects of the project.

I believe the magazine is a very good choice for me for multiple reasons. The first reason being that I truly enjoy all sorts of computer editing programs such as the ones we would use to lay out the magazine. I also prefer working more independently, which the magazine gives me the option to do. Also while making a film most of the work is collaborated and can't clearly see what attributes are from a certain person. But in a magazine you can more clearly show your attributions towards the magazine. Even though I clearly think a magazine project is a good idea there are a few cons. The first con is that more writing is involved having to do with your magazine articles and topics, and after a number of pages I feel like it would become hard to think of new articles and to elaborate on them. The second and last one being that not all my group members are familiar with the topics in the magazine. This meaning that I may have to cross over into my group members responsibilities and help them out. But overall I believe the magazine project would be more successful and enjoyable than other options.
